Aposelemis gorge: Eye Travel hiking / walking tour
A perfect alternative for people who find Samaria too early or too far. A good balance between hiking and walking. Even children love this adventurous hike.
In 2000 we, Eye Travel, discovered a gorge near Hersonissos and started organizing tours in small groups (max 20 pers) through this gorge guided by one of the Eye Travel team.
This gorge is about 8 km long, takes around 3,5 hours and has some obstacles on the way down. You will see untouched nature, some birds of prey, vultures,... The real Cretan flora and fauna.

After the walking/hiking part, we bring you to a traditional taverna, to use the toilet and enjoy a small lunch. The unique change to relax and to share your experience with your guide and the group.

Fantastic trip— must do
Sophie, our guide, was wonderful too and very helpful with some of our group members who found some parts of the walk difficult.
The tour ends with lunch at Zorbas tavern, a family run restaurant. After that long walk, we were really hungry and had the most wonderful lunch served by Amelia’s (“mamma”) team. Our son called it “the best food he had eaten in Crete”.
